You have this system installed on your Rod, we put two "fobs" on your key rings and if the vehicle is ever in motion and your keys are not (aka, hotwired) then LoJack will text, call and email you immediately informing you that your vehicle is moving. If you confirm to them that it is supposed to, then no harm / no foul, but if you don't confirm that or they can't reach you, then they spring into action and the tracking commences. In Ontario, there is a fleet of private investigators that track the vehicle and in Quebec, every police force has the system installed for tracking purposes.
Here's the program: Guaranteed recovery time is less than 48 hours! (usually less time than it takes to do too much damage to your rod) and the average recovery time is less than a day.
The best part about this system is the fact that it is SELF-POWERED and does NOT connect to your battery and it is SHIELDED and can't be "searched" for radio signals.

Saw this on a recent "COPS" show. the cruiser was equiped with this, & they were able to track the stolen car. Unit on dash started "beeping" as the patrol car was driving around. Guess it would be OK in built up area, but out here in the Boonies it takes the cops 20 min to respond to my hamlet!! Took that long for them to respond to the stabbing, Suicide just down the street 3 weeks ago!!!! By the time a private co. could get a reading [if they could] car would likely be "STRIPPED" & on the way out of country???? Pete

im up for something like this, think of all the cars you see gettng stolen that people have put tens of thousands into them. just to see the look on the thiefs face as the police roll up on them would be worth the money. since quebec is where 90 percent of the stolen cars go, it would be good to see some owners get back thier cars

Great deal being offer at $799, seems like a great thing to have on a vehicle with more than just a dollar value.
It definitely is a great deal and the protection value provided is 2nd to none. Once my project is more of a car and not a project, then it will also be installed with the system...I'm a long way away from that point though..

i wouldn't be surprised that if you push your insurance carrier that there isn't a discount for having one installed but you will have to give them a push for it, pricks.
i had a generator installed at my warehouse that will handle the whole joint with my refrigeration systems and the offices. i carry a 1/2 million coverage on inventory and they wouldn't give me a break on price. about 3 yrs ago we had a power out with 90 degree temp outside and i called my agent and asked him at what temp do you want me to turn on the genny. i got a discount after that but it was miniscule. but it was a discount.
