I'm a Ford guy and have had several Mustangs including my first new car ( 68 Mustang GT Fastback ) but regardless of your preference , this is a nice video about a lady from Chicago .

I love the story    good for him for keeping it

I remember reading the May 64 Hot Rod magazine with Mustang in it

First one in town was a red/black top conv. with wire wheel covers

My first new car was a lime green 69 Mustang  302 auto  $3713.00

Cousin bought the first Mustang GT convertible, triple black, bought it in Detroit when he finished school, still owns it today although he says it spends more time with Ford on display than in his garage.

A pilot with Maritime Central Airways in Moncton put in an order when they first announced the car. He waited and eventually received his car. A few years later Ford got in touch with him and inquired about his Mustang. They said it was sold by mistake and was supposed to go to the Ford Museum. It apparently was the first off the line and they offered him a new Mustang optioned as he wished which he did and let Ford have his 3 year old Mustang back. At the time he thought he got a great deal.  I'm not so sure about that today.

Heres the story in Hot Rod. Guess the version I was told by my dad was a little off but the jyist was there. This is worth looking at as there are several pics and info on the car he took on trade.
