I first heard of TIN MAN in Sackville N.B. in 2006   I was visiting my mom, and went to a school friends business OLDGOLD.ca    They were re-storing a GTO and I was interested in seeing a section of the cowl that had a rusty section cut out and replaced with almost new section from another car   I said where in the world did you find that   TIN MAN Peter said  out West

fast forward to Canadian Poncho and Tin Man became a sponsor     Today I was looking and clicked on his web site    wow  what a bunch of cool stuff    Dave is from Kitchener and moved to B.C. and is a first class dude    Carl

About Tin Man Auto GM cars, parts, & accessories

Quality Canadian Service for Classic GM Auto Parts, Worldwide

The idea of collecting classic GM parts & accessories for resale was conceived in the fall of 1979. That's when Dave and his wife, Jan, first set foot on Vancouver Island after a 3500 mile move from Kitchener, Ontario. Dave had to sell his restored '66 Beaumont and leave it behind in order to drive his overpacked '62 Dodge panel show truck across the country.

Various Classic GM cars & parts for sale that we have in our lot at Tin Man Auto

It was a long drive for Dave because all he could think about was his '66 Beaumont. "I shouldn't have sold it", "I'll never find another one", "Old cars are impossible to find". Well, within 7 days of arriving in Victoria, B.C. (before Dave even found a home to move into) Dave had already purchased a '67 Beaumont, '60 Impala and a '64 Malibu.

Cool old cars were just sitting around everywhere, and Dave just had to do something about that. At first he bought classic GM cars that needed a little TLC, fixed them, detailed them, then sold them. It was always nice to have a 'few' parts cars in the yard to pillage from, but he noticed that more and more people were coming to see him for a fender or a radio or a 327, and that's when the light went on!

100% Satisfaction Guarantee

Guys like classic cars, guys buy classic cars, guys need classic car parts and now, 30 years later, nothing has changed. Dave still sells fenders and radios and 327's and a whole bunch more, but with a 100% satisfaction guarantee.

Customer satisfaction is crucial. That's why with every part inquiry, the condition of that part is explained to the customer in exact accurate detail BEFORE it's sent so there are no surprises. It's hassle free and guaranteed. That's why we're still Canada's car enthusiast #1 choice for all their classic GM restoration needs.

No negative feedback here. It's been brought up in a few forums, and I've yet to here any negative feedback.

Hi Shop_Rat, thought I would take the chance to defend myself on that statement. My business got started because I'm a car junkie, but I'm not a junkie that needs money for his next fix. I just love cars, alot of the cars you see on my website are here for a variety of reasons. Example, I've received over 500 inquirys asking me why I was parting out the red '67 Firebird, answer was it was T-boned hard on the drivers side and was an insurance right-off. Another example, a clean and green '69 Beaumont, same reason, it was tagged hard on the left rear qtr and again was a total right-off. I had 2 '65 Beaumonts come in and it was from a husband wife break up, she sold us the cars because they were in his name but had left them on her property, he refused to sign them over so she sold them to us. Also, at least 20 of those cars you see on our site where sold out right to people who were looking for projects. We always take pix of the best sides of the cars PLUS we dress them up with bumper guards or rally wheels or fenders etc. I will never wreck out a car that is worthy of restoration, providing it will not cost much more than the restored value. You have to also understand, alot of cars lately have been coming in because the owner has tried to sell it as a  project and because of the economy and costs, they can't sell them, so we buy them, which is better than going to the crush. I agree, the photos are deceiving but believe me, I could never ruin a nice car. Thanks for giving me the opportunity to hopefully set the record straight. Cheers Dave
