Hello everyone.

I have been in Calgary since September '91 when I moved from Niagara Falls. I grew up on the eastern edge of St. Catharines and went to high school in Niagara on the Lake.

My first car was this:

I owned it from 1975 to 1978. It had a 390GT, stock bottom end, Crane SS hydraulic cam, ford tri-power, C6, holeshot converter, 4:30 Traction lock, shod with Uniroyal Tiger Paw tires. Best ET was a 13:70 at 101 mph

at Dragway Park in 1977. Here's the pic and time card:

My current ride has gone 11:51 @117.6mph in Mission BC at Mega Ford Weekend 5 in 2011:

Best regards,

KenW

That Mustang is close Poncho but mine had a stock, black interior. I bought it in Niagara-on-the-Lake, it was sitting at Cosgrove's Auto Centre.

The owner was out here in Alberta working in the oil patch.

Hotroddonnie, I do like that pic, but I have a couple with the front wheels in the air as well.

Notice the tree...the light is green, I still have the bottom staged light lit, the other lane still has both staged lights lit!

I remember Ken Cosgrove, didn't he move his shop to Thorold?

His name is Tom Cosgrove, and yes he did move his shop to Thorold when he and Ed Wiens parted company. Ed set up shop at Lakeshore and Creek roads in N.O.T.L. and is still there.
