I use Star Tron, it's compatible with ethanol fuel.
Sta-Bil wasn't, but they might have a new line compatible with ethanol.

I'm using SeaFoam this yr. Tried it in my garden tractor late last winter & couldn't believe how in got the water out of fuel!!! Guy at NAPA said it's the BEST all round fuel stabilizer & antifreeze for fuel!!!! Been around since 1942 but I'd never heard of it???? Made believer out of me. Not using ethanol fuel in "ANYTHING" any more, not even daily driver. Pete

Thanks for the replies guys, I had heard about Seafoam and was going to try it this year.

Not trying to be stupid Pete, but how did you know that it got the water out of the fuel, just better performance or ?

I,ve used sta bil an been pleased with results . But as fuels have gotten worse over the last few yrs . I,ve heard people saying they like sea foam better . I think sta bil needs to re vamp their ingredients a bit . friend of mine is into vintage bikes an works in the shop at a local marina , says they changed to sea foam yrs ago ..77.

today's gasoline has a shelf life of 30 days according to service bulletins we recieve from manufacturers such as echo, briggs, jonsered etc. any non ethanol fuel i use sta-bil, in fuel containing ethanol i use startron. all fuel i buy i add stabilizer to the can before i fill it to ensure i always have good fuel.

Both Star Tron and Seafoam are good products, and compatible with Alcohol enhanced fuels.

Even though you may use High Octane gas, it doesn't necessarily mean that it's Alcohol free. Maybe no Ethanol, but...Take Petro Canada's "Winter Gas" for example, it's spiked with Methyl Hydrate (alcohol). They are not legislated to post this, only the "Ethanol".

Alcohol absorbs water.

After I got the tractor running, [wouldn't start due to water] & added the seafoam, I worked the unit blowing snow, started to backfire, & fart, no power, in about 3 min. it started to smooth out, a couple more backfires & it took off!!!!  Had no more issues for the rest of the winter with starting it!!!!
