I've had the Ranchero for sale for a while. I want to build another project, this one has gone fast, and won many car shows including it's class at the Calgary World of Wheels twice.

I finished the restoration in 2006, with everything on the car being replaced with NOS, new, or fully restored parts.

I re-built the engine in 2010. It's detailed in the following link: http://www.torinocobra.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=15769 . It has a 1000cfm HP series Holley, MSD ignition, ceramic coated Hooker 6115 headers. The engine is 12:1 compression and runs fine on Petro Canada 94 octane pump gas. The fully ceramic coated exhaust consists of a 3.5" H pipe, Hooker Aerochamber mufflers, and 3" tailpipes terminating at the bumper.

The C6 transmission was freshened last August. It has a UCC 3800 stall converter, all the best clutches and band, full manual reverse pattern VB. The driveshaft is aluminum, 4" diameter c/w 1350 U joints.

The 9" rear end consists of an N case c/w Daytona pinion support, 31 spline Detroit Locker, 4:11 gears, Moser axles. Rear suspension is Calvert split leaf monos, Rancho 9000 shocks, and Caltracs.

The tires are 28x11.5x15 MT ET Streets and MT Sportsman fronts, all new in 2011. The wheels are period correct Centerlines.

The Ranchero turns heads and draws crowds everywhere as there is not another like it. I'm asking $30,000, there is more than double that in the car!

If it were my car I would be trying to get money from south of the border at X 1.4

         My buddy traded his 2014 GM Diesel dually with 48g km on it for 10 grand for a 2015  

         Just traded the 2015 with 28 km on it for 2000 difference  (needs windshield and rear bumper)  

         My boss ordered a 2016 crew Ford diesel to keep 6 months and flip    

 

          USA

               is the way to go

I was of the impression that the vehicle has to be 2 model years before it can go to the US. That is the only reason I got My 2014 F250 diesel or it would also have gone to the US. I'm tempted to sell it down here now that it is two years.

 Maybe and I'm only guessing,, but maybe it has to be 2 years old to come to Canada.. We are the land of rules and laws!!

I think that depends on manufacturer. Bought a '10 GM product, and it needed to have 7500 miles to transfer warrantee. With some(Dodge, Honda?), warrantee is non-transferable. But I haven't heard about not being able to bring new cars here. I do know, however, that manufacturers will not allow dealers to sell new cars to Canadians, even if they are built here.

Ranchero just took first place in class...Custom Pickup...at the Calgary World of Wheels. I was not expecting that as the restoration will be 10 years old this June. I re-restored the grill for the show. An onerous job I've been meaning to do for a year or so.
