I'm looking for a 1958-62 Chevy 235 straight 6 to replace the busted 216 in my 1951 Chevy. Prefer a running motor from a passenger car, but any motor would be considered. Please email Wayne at wbeaton1 @ yahoo.com or PM through this site.

The 270-302 is 2" longer and requires some fabrication and cutting to make it fit. I would also have to upgrade my tranny and clutch, which means I'd probably have to change to an open driveline. I'm looking for a drop in solution so I can use my existing clutch and driveline And get back on the road quickly. I'd take a Chevy 261 if I could one.

Each page is about 250kb, so it'll take a while to download over the phone.

I have that article saved. Thanks for posting.

My search is over. I bought two 1960 235's locally.
