I have a friend that that has one these sitting in field.

He says its in rough shape ,, been sitting there for 3 years, previously stored in a clean dry barn for 15 years.

I haven't seen it yet my self but heard the 2 doors were fairly rare.

Any ideas ??

Best get some pics posted if you want accuracy .......your description of " rough shape " means low $$$ as in hundreds .

depending on how rough is rough there will be a value in it just in parts if nothing else. ie; it would be a lot harder finding say a headlight brow or an instrument cluster for that car than a 66 impala, guessing. does the motor turn over and/or start? +- there also.
as for rare, i wouldn't know. you don't see many around though or many pontiac's for that matter.

good luck if your thinking about it. nothing ventured-nothing gained they say.

2 door Htp. ???? 2 door Post??? I wouldn't use the term "rare" but IMOP the 2 dr. post would "get my attention" over a Htp. especially if it has 3 "PEDALS"!!!!!

I have actually been looking for a full size 65-66 Canadian pontiac to replace the one I sold. I am very familiar with these cars and they are pretty bad at rusting out the frame. Usually the rear section and around the rear control arms. I am interested in the car, but price is very dependent on condition.

They are not particularly rare, as there are still lots around, and they are not hugely desirable unless they are a convertable or a big block car. To give you an idea of pricing, there has been a western 2dr 65' Parisienne (283, PG)for sale for at least a year for $2600, and a beater 66' laurentian 2 dr just sold for $1200 (230, PG). I know where there is a rough 66' 396 car that could be had for $3k. Its another 2 door with a 12 bolt posi rear The owner is selling it just for the value of the engine, which is a non original 69' 427. All the cars are in ontario.

Edit - I forgot about the 4 speed cars.  They are very rare and about as desirable as a big block car. I have seen many 3 on the tree cars and would actually say they are less desirable than the powerglide cars. Now if you found a big block, 4 speed car - that would be something special.  Especially if it was a 427 car - super rare and anything 427 is desirable.

I had a very nice 66' Parisienne convertible and it sold for $7K after 4 months of being for sale. It was a factory triple black car, with buckets, console, and a 327/PG and in very nice shape with a fresh motor, trans, and redone interior.  I would have kept it, but it literally would not fit in my narrow driveway.  It was too wide to fit between the houses when I lived in Toronto.

if this helps i bought and sold a 1960 maroonish pariesenne 4dr hardtop with not bad trim on it and complete some years ago for 1200.00. it ran good, small block, but had a lot of rust issues with a bit being in the frame. he was happy to buy it and i was happy to sell it sorta thing. i am guessing if you are selling the right pontiac there are customers for them but who is to say which one is the right one. he was intent on having one and this one had pretty much all its trim in not bad shape. thats what got his attention about it.

if that means anything

Is there pic's of the car? The condition of the car really will determine the value.

I'll as him to get some picks of the car.
I was interested in the engine, trany, and maybe rear end but then it donned on me that maybe even in bad shape it may be worth something.
I only get a chance to see him on weekends so I will ask him this weekend for pics, hopefully I get him before he torches the parts off.

If the frame is not completely rotted, I would be interested in a rolling body if you want the engine/trans.
