Gear ratio change on newer trucks.

I just installed a higher ratio gear set on a newer GM truck, and now the ABS computer is not happy because the transmission VSS is spinning faster than what it's used to. I called GM this morning, but they're telling me that they need to call head office to find out how to fix it. BS if you ask me. I'm sure I'm not the first to do a gear change on a truck. Anyone else go down this road? I want this light off and my ABS back.

I put taller tires on a 2003 Silverado and the local G.M. dealer reprogramed the computer so the light was off but could never get the speedo corrected. Good luck.

I'm surprised taller tires would set off a code because as long as all 4 wheels are spinning the same RPM, the computer should be happy. I put taller tires on this truck 4-5 years ago and had no problems other than the speedo being off by 6 KPH.
I did find a place in Scarborough (Champion Motors) said they could do it.

Why not just put in a Gear Vender overdrive then you have the best of both worlds.

What does that have to do with with the VSS being out? As I mentioned, it's a NEWER truck so it already is overdrive.

Some aftermarket tuning kits can do it for you can't they? Like hypertech or something like that?
