The problem with this auction is if you bid in the last few minutes they add another 10 Min. I have seen it go 1 1/2 Hr. in overtime past the time the auction was supposed to end. Real hard to get a deal on this site.

That shear is quite small too at only 36" ,sort of useless when cutting sheets..

Well it might come in handy for someone, but I won't bother posting anything up here any longer. Too much negativity.

Brown & Boggs is a quality shear, they don't build them like this anymore.

2017-05-23 shear 004.JPG2017-05-23 shear 009.JPGI have one the same as that 36" and it is far from 900 LB. closer to350 Lb. also its called a squaring sheer. No it is not useless as all your cuts are not for rockers. Handy for small patches and seeing the price of large sheers I guarantee not many of us can justify the price. I also have a Chicago box pan break that is also 36" and I get by with it. As for moving it do not use your back as there are hoists made for this. I am not talking a Princess Auto 2000 Lb. engine hoist that will have a problem picking up 500 Lb. off the hook. They are probably talking 2,000 Lb. at the cylinder I would think.

Nice shop Mr Haney. Looks like lotsa nice toys. I grew up with an Aunt and Uncle who had a plumbing & heating business. My cousin and I had full run of the shop as kids. My Uncle thought the best way to learn was to play with the tools. We could build anything we wanted and often did. We had the only push-go cart around with a fully functioning front end.We were about 8 or 9 at the time. I agree, that little shear would come in very handy.
