firewall paint

Hello: I am soon to paint the inside portion of my firewall in my 29 model A Tudor.  It is my understanding that I should paint every surface to keep rust away and that I should also cover nearly every surface with insulation to deaden the sound and in this case, to keep engine heat out of the cab.  So my question is, if I am  putting insulation on the inside of my firewall, does it matter if I use heat resistant paint on the inside?  I am using Rustoleum/Tremclad on the underside and frame but on the face of my firewall, I used heat resistant paint.  Thank you in advance.

You won’t need heat resistant paint on any of the body panels, adding a little universal acrylic enamel hardened will make it extremely durable and shine better too.

Chis is right you can use any quality paint on the firewall. I paint my engine blocks with a single stage urethane paint and never had any issues.
