hard to find stuff and even harder to find it in decent shape. Then if you do find anything its way over priced.

No 55-56 Ford stuff at all. There was a sedan/panel delivery in a yard but it has been crushed. I do know where there is a 2 door sedan body but can't remember what condition the parts might be in. I can find out in the spring....

I have been watching your videos for a while now Rat motor. I used to go sledding from a friends place in Humphrey up by Port Lorring and see lots in the woods. Never had a chance to go up in the summer and look around the back roads. Down here in the south things are really picked over but the odd time you get lucky.

I've found 2 wrecking yard that still have some "tin" left in them Jackson's in Kirby Ont but very hard to catch them open, some Thurs. & Sat if guy shows up. Have some cars back to the 30's around 600+ in total. The 2nd is Lakefield Auto Wreckers north of Peterbough, Lots of 70's & down cars & trucks but they are starting to clear out the yard & have crushed a lot last fall. Owner getting ready to retire. No phone at Lakefield that I know of, I usually just drive up on a week day!!!

Sure sad to hear about the old scrap yards dissappearing!!-Can,t imagine what we'd see in another twenty years,, just a pile of rusted out ricer/beaters, Sad!!

The scrapper guys who prowl the country picking up anything they can get really annoy me, they just have NO clue about anything of value, if it,s metal,, yup, it goes to the crusher!!

I'm almost 70 and geez we sure grew up in an interesting time,,,remember all those rare old cars / pickups etc that the yards were full of ?

The yard owner was usually some "CRUSTY" old character peering over his glasses at you as if you were going to steal him blind. Dressed in filthy old holey coveralls, cig or cigar hangin out of the corner of his mouth, grease caked old hat and boots, and big scarred up hands.

They were a unique lot of independent businessmen you just don't see these days.
