This is my 64 f100.I bought this truck from a farmer in saskatoon in 1988 it has no patches welded anywhere on the body or underside.
I removed the straight axle and put a 65 twin I beam front end on her with later ford disk brakes 9 inch rear with 3.50 gear
I removed the original 292 and replaced it with a 66merc 390 30 overbore 427 425 horse cam ,tri power and hooker headers.Also fitted the motor with a world class 5 speed tranny and mccloed hydralic throwout bearing
SWEET! I love everything about it!!!!! Very nicely done! So you have twisted every bolt I did lol.... How tricky was it adding the I-beams? Nice to know I'm not the only mid 60's Ford on here
Adding the I beams was easy and the nice thing was it lowered the front end 3 inches.Tough part was the steering box ,straight axle was front steer and I beam set up is rear steer.Ended up using a rear steer GM power steering box,dont recall what it was from now ,did the swap 15 years ago or more.Just started driving it again after 5 years of collecting dust.It is a blast to drive and I get lot's of complements thanks guy's joe mac
