Lookin Good. Hope to see it out in the area this summer. Brings back memories seeing your Acadian. A buddy of mine had a semi built Acadian back in the day, that we seemed to get in a lot of trouble in.

um the po-lice have already called it - if they see a roll bar you are automatically removed from the road. Wide prostreet tires - same.
Now go chat with your insurance company - good luck with that.
Only choices for insurance if you are lucky will be specialty like silverstone and even they are gettin upity about the pro or drag look
I have a bunch of buddies around here been forced to become drag racers on a trailer for those two reasons
Do you know about a new regulation or law that was recently past that prohibits roll cages and Pro-Street type vehicles? There is no regulation or law against roll cages or wide tires that I am aware of. You say "the police have already called it" and that vehicles will be "automatically removed from the road" Where did you get this information, when did they "call it" and who called it the police, MTO...? Sorry but if a change has already been made and your claims are accurate we need to know as it affects a lot of people. I have had no trouble getting insurance on my heavily modified 600hp Pro-street Nova. I have used both State Farm and Lant (Now Haggerty) specialty insurers recently without any trouble or excessive cost. If your friends choose to go Strip only it is not because they were forced IMO.

id like to see a rule book on this stuff to! I,m still building a fast street car with a bit of cage in it as well. I feel if you arent being an idiot..you wont get stopped. As for insurance companies.find one that doesnt discriminate.
i know you not allowed to drive with the drag slicks tires cause they are re mark right on the tire not street legal but if you have wide tires that are DOT approved the cops can t do anything as long as there inside your fenderwells.....................but the wide tires won t pass a mechanical you have to have the tires that the car is suppose to have ...........but again it depends on who you get ..........i just can t understand why a roll cage would affect since it increase your own safety
Now Now Gentlemen. Lets not get testical. Just shown my stuff. Thread was not intended for a debate on legalities. There are many, little known rules and regulations. Saw a pick up going down the road today with the wheels sticking out at least 6 inches past the body line and jacked up in the air. Illegal yes, was anyone chasing him down, no. Cages are not illegal as long as they don't impede your vision.
