Cant see that electronic ignition is a problem, although I have heard people complain about that lean burn system.........Maybe the coil is breaking down when it gets heated up...try another coil.

Could also be a fuel problem, vapour lock when it warms up

Had a 79 Le Barron in the late to mid 80's with that lean burn, & it left us at the side of the road a few times, car would 'die' sit for an hr.or so then 'fire'up & run for weeks!!! Finally changed it back to Old style ign.points & cond. distributor, coil etc & by-passed the lean burn module. That fixed it, but never really "trusted" that car aft. that!!!! Sold it quick.

Remove the lean burn. It was a faulty system right from the start I,ve been a Mopar guy all my life and never would own a vehicle with that system. Anyone I did know that had a car with it removed it thought

thanks Carl i found lot of info ........now after reading some other stuff , not knowing if the previous change only the heads.........if he change the camshaft there may be real gain in horsepower .........i don t think just the 340 heads alone will make much difference............

Toss the lean burn and put on a normal mopar electronic ignition if you want simple. A MSD ignition box like the 6A would aslo be a nice addition.
