Wednesday Evening Cruise Night at Rideau Carleton Raceway on June 27, 2012 will be having an Oldsmobile Feature Night.The lower lot (between the main building and the track) is reserved for Oldsmobiles, Olds powered cars, etc.My thanks go to Graham MacInnes and Crew for allowing us to have such a night at their event.
As well, the kind people from Highway 43 Car Club are putting on a show.July 15, 2012 they are hosting an ALL GM "MOTORAMA" Show & Shine, GM Cars and Trucks Only. Myers Kanata, Palladium Auto Park. 9:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M. We will have a special section reserved for Oldsmobiles.
Both these events are meant as a tribute to the friendship I (we) had with a very special person in Blair Rendell.He was an Oldsmobile guy all the way.
His baby was his 1971 442 W-30 4speed convertible.He also had a yellow 1969 Vista Cruiser, a 1972 Cutlass notchback coupe, and was in the process of retoring a 1969 442 when he passed away.
He is dearly missed.
If any Oldsmobile people out there could spread the word, we can put on a good Oldsmobile showing at these two events.
