ok, our little club, the ganaraska ratlers is growing and it is time we gained more members and stuff. grumpy is doing some things to promote our club as well. we would like to make this club bigger and bring in some more members and possibly organize some events and cruises. the rules of admittance are simple, have some kind of rod, new or old, no imports unless they are so radical they ev3n impress us, nobodys car can be faster than my buick. no picking the paint chips off flatblacks 55 wagon either! other than that we will be attending various flea markets and cruises as well as armdrop drag events. the end result here would be some events of our own and get togethers. people can message me or ed aka flatblack55 or grumpy as well. car club movments are like bowel movements, stuffs coming if you put it in, so clean ur stuff and ur junk! as well you have to know what ratical customs was in the nineties or be willing to learn.
are ya going to kick me out now that i have the LT1 in the 55
No one will kick you out as long as that LT1 is emmissions compliant...lol
1970 LT1 only needs a pcv. ha ha ha.
on another note someone just offered me a whole bunch of 4 bolt main 350's that need rebuilds for $200 ea. i asked if any have forge steel cranks i would take one or at least a 010 block.

Rat Rod or not, my motor is from a '95 Impala SS and it must have all the emission stuff it had on ity when built to be legal to drive in Ontario. Fines are $300 per Cat. if you have dual exhaust just for starters....never mind the missing air pump, cannister and EGR!.
So back to the Car Club. Where is it based out of, what are the fees, rules, meetings schedule, etc, etc. Most importantly, WHO is the "Grand Poobah" that we can blame if things go south?
Rules are simple must have pre 80s vehicle on the road or drag car ,must like to race your car/truck at the strip(we have a run it ,break it,fix it and then run it again attitude).We are looking for members who want to actually use and abuse there rods and get out and do stuff. No meetings,no dues,no pres.,based in Port Hope /Cobourg area.Since Fatstax started this thred I guess if you need to blame someone for something blame him . Ed
ya theres no leader or such, i like to think of this as a networking club that communicates and attends events and stuff. perhaps some charity work might help us out to. but hey if you want to pay me to hang out wit you, i come cheap. we are in port hope mainly, my shop is a couple doors down from eds store. but for spiritual guidance of our order, flatblack is the man!

The Supreme Allied Commander can vouch for me (I hope anyways). Geography being what it is, coming from the west end of the province makes it a little difficult, but I'd love to have a reason to head East. Neither of my rides are barn burners but I do have enthuiasm and wouldn't mind thrashing my Chevelle a bit. Let me know about any events and I'll do my best to make it. Now if we could only get Toronto out of the way.......

Sorry Workin class the only Loosers I saw this weekend were in our rear view mirrors.Actually there were no loosers at Picton only a lot of people haveing a great time.Must have missed you at The Armdrop but there are more comeing up so we will see you then,we will right.
