Well we left home on our way to the Kemptville show and about 2 miles down the road Bernice and I smelled gas so we pulled into the golf course. There was a puddle under the car and I found gas seeping from a hose to steel line connection. I tried to fix it when the pliers arced from the steel gas line to the valvecover so I went to the tool pouch I carry and got a wrench and removed the + bat cable. Then I called CTC auto club and they sent a flatbed from Fraser's of Arnprior. Very nice driver, John, treated the wagon like it was his baby. We called Ross, Don and Kevin while we were waiting and they came out here and we removed the fuel line, which had touched the + junction box on the lower firewall. Don is going to Malmbergs on Mon and get a new flex line and I will run it in a different location. Flex will be a lot easier to run now that the car is all together. Sorry we missed the show, but will try again.

Wow, that could have been a lot worse. I guess now is the time to fix it right. There's always another car show. I hope you tipped the tow truck driver, I know when I was driving tow truck a got a special call I always took the extra effort to baby the car and the owner usually appreciated it.
