I know, not hot rod related, but I know someone on here will know....My RV fridge isnt working like it should.....still about plus 5 celcius in warm weather on high...Its in a popup camper, so doesnt have the chimney stack......I have added a couple of fans to draw air out of the compartment, helped a bit but not much....I was told if I take the fridge out and turn it over for a day or so and put it back, it will make it work better...Any thoughts or do I rip it out and just go buy a bar fridge
I have one of those electric coolers and it keeps things colder than this damn fridge
turning the fridge over may work in the short term. What happens in the cooling unit is the chemicals produce solid chunks that block the flow of Ammonia turning it upside down dislodges this blockage. It will happen again. If a 110 fridge will do what you want I say go for it the only draw back is no dry camping with out a generator.

These guys can repair and or fix just about anything RV fridge related. They have the equipment to build the special tubing used in an ammonia unit, the only guys around that do that I know of.
I got some advise on an RV forum....I cleaned the burner and chimney...I also made a baffle to help keep the heat off the coils....It seems to be working quite a bit better now...Thanks for the advise
