I have a 47 Merc 2 ton for sale. I'm looking for $12,500 for it.

It is 90% restored. Just needs final touches to complete. It has a rebuilt flatty V8 with 4 hours run time. Converted to 12 volt. The body work is all done. Just needs to be sanded and re-cleared. All the chrome is done and waiting to go on. All new period interior ready to go in. Have all the glass except the rear window which is easily cut. All the frame has been re-done. all tires are new, it's a dually. It was originally a dump and the cylinder is on it but not used. It has a new, steel flat deck with 2" oak floor that I have taken off to modify. Has a new wiring harness that I'm in the middle of installing.

Not a speck of rust anywhere on the truck.

Ya it doesn't take long to spend the money on these rigs. Look cool going down the street though. You don't see them every day that is for sure.

A guy came to look at this truck yesterday. He read the ad and all the details but when he showed up, he just wanted to buy the chrome. Then just wanted to buy the cab to put it on his pick-up frame.

As if I would hack it up and devalue it like that. It wouldn't have bothered me so much but I speant a lot of time gathering all the parts up to display them in one place. Unwrapping the chrome and everything.

Oh well, it's still for sale. Price lowered.

Well done.  Kijiji is still the best place to get stuff gone!
