I remember that yard as a kid growing up in Tillsonburg. It was some crazy old guy as stated. It was a lot bigger back then. He had tons of Bugs and lots of rare stuff like Issettas and Heinkel bubble cars and Minis. He probably was German! LOL!

Been there at least 36 yrs,i used to drive by it on way to buddies house in Simcoe, when i used to live in London, used to be a 64 Chevy impala there too(36 yrs ago!)
there is ALOT of stuff still there and alot i didnt capture id really like to find out if anything is for sale tho i got a bug for my daughter but i have two daughters id dump the bug idea in seconds for two split window buses
I drove by it, about 10 yrs ago, on my way to St-Thomas (raceway), cruising the back roads and I did pull over and walked up to the fence. Is that pic recent? The place still like that? That's awesome! Good luck with your search, sorry I couldn't help. But if you find anything out, it'd be nice to know.
Isn't it amazing how many cars still servive despite all the cleanup laws. There is still a lot of stuff out there and pictures like these are encouraging. Ed
Go by there quite often too, i remember a whole lot more stuff in that field not too many years ago and if i remember right the county made him get rid of alot of stuff in there, complainers started it, he had old tractors and other pieces of machinery and equipment and yes some junk too, i guess the good stuff is whats left now.
That yard just east of Corbett on the south side? I looked it up on Google maps but the lay out looks different, makes me think there is a second "Field of Dreams" in the area.
Thats Harold Cudmores Place he was an old coot who has passed on a long while back, his son Les owns its now and he will sell stuff..Looks like hes crushing it all out those feilds were loaded with old cars.

Cudmore is over northeast of Exeter. Intersection of 4 and 83, go east on 83 about two sideroads, ( white house on corner ) turn north and go past the second sideroad and he's on the east side.
OK 77 I will find out .One says not for sale but its on a used car lot ,go figure.I'll find out the story on the others and maybe a price ,and let you know when I do. Ed

is the les guy local to the yard? as in would he be easy to find if i drove the 2 hours with a name and a really nice smile?
I don't get down that way all that often anymore, isn't the yard on the south side of Hwy 3 between Cortland and Delhi, just east of Byerlay side road. There used to be an old house and outbuildings on the property and a wood fence across the back, all was gone last fall and most of what he had is gone.

Drove by yesterday. I was surprised. Most of this stuff has been moved up front recently. That whole front area was cleaned up over the last couple of years. There is a big pile of mangled scrap at the west end, just off of Byerley.
If you need stuff and can contact somebody who could let you in, now would be the time. I think the lot is in the process of being cleared out.
It is a shame that these lots are being cleaned out and stuff is just being crushed, but they aren't making any more land , and I think it is worth plenty more cleaned up. Also scrap is still worth a fair bit, and it is easier to let somebody in who will take it all instead of selling it off slowly, one piece at a time. It is a shame though to see lots of good vintage tin and parts get crushed.
Ya know guys there is a reason all this stuff goes to scrap and its because everybody looks at it but nobody buys it cause most is rusted into the ground. With the exceptions of some willing and tallented on this site and others there is no market for tis stuff nowadays.I advertised a flea market business that I've had for 20yrs and did very well with in the past. Then people stopped buying and I tried Ebay worked for awhile then shipping started to be a hassle. This was good stuff for older cars, rockers ,doglegs, fender repair panels etc for all makes 49to64.I had hundreds of these and when I decided I was getting rid of them I figured $1per peice was what I wanted.Advertised Ebay,Kijiji,Here, the old ratrods site no takers not even 1call to haggel or anything.Talked to the other venders ,not interested they had too much invintory.Kept them for 2 more years no interest.About a month ago a friend said scrap was up so off to the yard I go,4 truck loads later problem solved and I have cash to spend inpocket.I just found out that another friend recently has scrapped a huge invintory of vintage exhaust systems for older cars, why ,same reason nobody buys them anymore,we are tired of lugging this stuf around and scrap pays, cash today. This stuff that everybody has been drueling and lots of places like it have been around for years and the stuff is still there, hell I have been buying parts at Jacksons for 20yrs and the same cars ar still there rotting into the ground. So if you feel so bad buy something or those cars will be sold as well and you can't blame the owner cause in this case it sounds like he has done everything he could short of delivering them to you and still the cars sit there. Ed
I,m gonna phone that number listed above , tommorow . I really donr need anything I,m done getting more projects , But I wouldnt mind a decent bug body to cut up for a project ..77.

i know the place well there at one time was a bunch of ww2 plains there when the house was there and out buildings the old guy had rows of motorcycles to sunk in the ground past the frames did talk to him 20 yrs ago he was a bit off then some times come to the door with a shot gun yelling werd stuff other times grand tour bought some bike parts was not easy then i no some people out there can try to get info
Better get on it!! Zubics of London will send semi's and load it all up Maybe the owner could pick a Sat and let everyone in for a mini sale before its scrapped

I noticed two old galaxies at the end of the pile. I stopped to have a look but it was getting dark. Most of the cars there look beyond help but could be some good parts cars.
I'd like to have a closer look but the no tresspassing signs make me think I should try and approach the owner first.
The yard was 'cleaned up' about a year ago. All the scrap was loaded into a pile and all the cars are lined up in some sort of order. Nothing has happened in a while but it doesn't look like they're headed for zubics. I could be wrong though. I know some people in the area so I'm going to start asking some questions.
