anyone going to woodward? its a yearly thing for my brother and i wouldnt miss it for anything, the cruising friday night cant be beat so many cars my lord we leave friday morning the 17th come back late sunday

I went last year for the first time and it was awesome!  For anyone going, make sure you cruise all the way up to Pontiac......they don't mind if you want to turn a tire or two up there!!

 

I won't be going this year...10 hour drive from Ottawa is a long haul.

Devilish and I will be there friday and sat.....we will be parked just north of 14 mile and woodward.

You'll see the cars and the tent....stop by and watch the automotive world drive by...

If you have never been...STAY AWAY FROM ROYAL OAK ! They are brutal for tickets !!!!! and they cost $$$$$$$$$$$$$ if you get one.... (speaking from experience )

Just curious, are they against cruising and are ticketing as a form of harassment just to try to keep people away from Royal Oak or are they fine with the cruising just not fine with burnouts/stop light drags/open headers etc?

Any small infraction....excessive noise ....re muffler...rolling stop at signs .......seat belts.......they are not cruise freindly at all....more cops than you have ever seen..... check out this you tube video .........."Police Sweep Streets At Woodward Dream Cruise 2010"
On the other hand.... in Pontiac I have had the cops tell me to "Light em up"

devilish/grumps, saw your cars there we made a few passes then i was gonna stop in and intro myself we stopped but at the time we did didnt see anyone near the cars so we continued on..

as for pictures woodward dream cruise is on face book and ALOT of people post up pics on there, our damn camera died so we didnt get any at woodward just a few on route to woodward

Here we are leaving to go to Woodward....It was cheaper to trailer than to drive and stop for gas every half hour.....both cars.JPG

By the way....we have access to a 4 car trailer if someone wants to go next year.....

I cant tell lies....so.....I cant say...BUT it could have been devilish.....I had tooooo many beers to remember..lol
But what a great bunch of guys.....also some guys from the "Searchers" out of milton....The manager of the hotel came out and gave us a broom to sweep up all the rubber...lol..... filled a garbage can.
I think the funniest was the guy with the rental dodge charger......v6....fried the tires for about 5 mins....dont know how or why the cops or the fire department weren't called....funny as hell.

I dont think I'd call that misbehavin......I think I'd call that trying to get traction due to a sudden and location specific ICE STORM !!!!!

These are from a friend of mine.  When he goes to a show there's no stopping him. Somebody boo hoo'd about not having a picture taken of his car...so now he does every one he can get to.
