I would like to share the following web site and information with other Ontario Rodders.  I am not just sure where it should be posted on your site.  I ask you to please post it it the proper spot.

Frank Hawkes is the owner of Hawkes Auto in Essex Ontario - close to Windsor.  He is the Canadian distributor of ALL Eastwood products.  The complete Eastwood catalogue can be seen on Frank's site or at Eastwood.com.

The interesting part of Frank's business is the prices quoted in the United States Eastwood catalogue or on line are the same in Canada.  There is a small charge for exchange and the shipping is by FedEx. 

I definately think there are some savings here on Eastwood products.

Franks a great guy. I been ordering from him for a couple years now. Just put an order in this week. I really like the ryno sandpaper in the rolls with adhesive back.

A question came up about shipping from Franks company, whether product was shipped from the US or Canada.....You all know about these courier companies and brokerage fees for cross border shipments....We got this email back from Frank.

Yes ,, everything youbuy from us is shipped from us.
No worries or concerns that aFedEx guy is going to come and ask for fees at your door.
Eastwood (Head Office) coversall Duty and Brokers Fees when purchases are done thru us.

Glad to hear there's no extra shipping/duty BS with Hawkes. I *was* going to order a quart of ceramic engine paint from Eastwood in the US, but at $36 US + $18 US in special shipping (chemical) + Duty...forget it. I ended up buying several spray cans at Partsource instead.

Next time I'll check Hawkes out

The other nice thing about Hawkes is that he has some stock as well so you don't have to wait that long to get it.Not everything but some of the popular stuff. Bought all my Dura blocks from him!

I just made my first Eastwood Products purchase from Hawks Auto in Essex Ontario. I had seen the special price on a small buffing kit listed in the new Eastwood catalogue. I phoned, talked with Frank, the product was in stock, the price was as listed plus 4% exchange plus shipping and HST.
Frank offered some tips on what and how I intended to use the products which were most appreciated.
The product was ordered on Tuesday and Fed-X delivered it to my home on Wednesday. Mary also phoned me on Tuesday afternoon to say the product has been shipped.
This was a very good buying experience and I also will be back again.

I made a large purchase at Frank's place last fall. Great to deal with! He and his wife were very personable! He even threw in a couple of Eastwood ball caps, a hand held emergency LED trouble light and really, really, really wanted to feed me some lunch!!! Nice to see a successful Mom and Pop store doing it right!!!

I understand Frank's closed up his business. Someone else in the Windsor area is supposed to be taking over but I haven't been able to find out who yet. I'll post when I do.

The new Eastwood dealer was at Bothwell this last Aug. I don't have a name but seem to recall he was only a couple of miles from where Hawkes was located. Thought it a bit strange at the time that a business like Eastwood would set up a new dealer so close to an existing one. Guess Hawkes had already closed by then. Can't remember if the sign at the show said "The new Eastwood dealer," or "A new Eastwood dealer". I had dealt with Frank Hawkes a few times and have nothing but good things to say. I hope Frank closed because he wanted to and it was his choice. Don't know???
