Does anyone know if or how a 98 2.2 will fit in a 95 S10 with same size engine that has blown

I know there are some differences between the engines

We know there are sensors in the 98 that are not in the 95

but can they be by passed and still pass an Etest?

do the intakes interchange if we want to use the 95 intake?

we have complete wireharness and computer from both engines

Anyone who has done this swap or has info that would be great

Thanks

Ed

I just finished rebuilding a 1995 2.2 !!
The problem with what you want to do is that the replacement engine is an ODB2. The 95 truck is OBD1.
Just replace the long block (block and head) and use your original induction system (intake). Doing this will be a lot less of a headache ! Trust me !!
