Leaving Sun mornig for Charleston West Virginia for the Doo wop show next week,& for the 1st time I'm not driving a car down, I'm going to 'trailer" the 52 as it's only got 900 mi on it, & I'm going on my own!!! Janice can't get time off & my travell buddy with the 69 Cutlass has gone AWOL since May [new girlfriend & he's dumped all his friends] The "Burb will likely get better milage, & won't have to stop as often [ 52 has 12gal tank] & have the ONStar & phone built in!! I've driven the 64 down there every June since 2005 & twice in 2010 so this will be different??? My car club has it's "fall Tour" tomorrow & the 64 2+2 will get the call [as the 52 is ready for trip & on the trailer waiting for Sun.] for the run up to Algonquin Park & back or there was talk of going to a show in Haliburton??? Guess it will be a Mystrery Tour!!!! TIGHT FIT putting trailer through the door of garage but it FITS!!!!
In it's day the Catalina would have been hauling the trailer..back when the only guys with trucks were farmers and contractors..Nice units both of them..
Brian, I'll see what I can do, I'm allready picking up parts for a guy here in town for his 27T roadster, so we'll see how it goes,have to get some myself so don't see a problem unles you want a 45 gal[ 55 in the states] drum!! Rob I knew someone would "chirp" in w/trailer comment!!!! If I break it while there,after some hard pounding before the show,at least I can get it back home?? Right??, Right???

Left Sun AM & got to Grove City PA hotel at 3:30 Lost 1 hr. at Border crossing. Suburban showed 15.9 [US gal.] MPG whenI filled up.[computor in US as the Burb is american,came from Utah] Used 3/4 tank [$90, gas is $3.89 gal]from home to there,which i don't think is too bad???? Got here to Rusty's at 11:30 this morning & unloaded the car & took him for ride. Blew out the header flange gasket, came back here & put it in his shop to cool down while we went for parts. All fixed now & quiet as can be expected. NO more "FLAP FLAPP when on the gas!!! Show starts Wed at Casino then to Downtown Charleston for Thurs. till Sat night. I "DO" have the camera with me this time!!!!!

300+ cars at Wed. nite Cruise!!! Missed the $1000 draw by 6 numbers DAM!!!! By noon on Thurs. they had 700+ vehicles on the Blvd. Weather has been in the mid 80's till today, overcast & raining but the cars keep coming in,have room for 1200 & it's almost FULL. 52 is getting alot of Att. & being a Cdn. Poncho the "Chevy" t/lights are driving them NUTS!!! I've been told I have a "good" shot at the long distance award [$500 US] being awarded to night, that will pay for the trip!!!!! The show setting is beautifull,right beside the river on the Blvd. Charleston is a great city & they keep in "really clean" Post the pics. when I get back on Tues. Only a few Pontiacs here, maybe 1/2 doz. so far??? Pete

Got beat out of 1st. place long distance by someone from Florida but got 2nd. & $400 US can't complain at that!!! Show over at 1PM with awards. Going to start the trip back on Monday, stop in PA & cross back on Tues morning sometime, want to miss the holiday Monday border crossing "ZOO" Ran out of Cdn. beer & had to drink US stuff!! Can't wait to get back & have a "GOOD BEER" again!!!!!!

Awesome prize that you got!! Will definetly make the fuel cost aspect of trip break even. So, was there still a half dozen Pontiacs? Very nice car by the way.
