Just got word that the Piston Pushers are re-hanging their old sign on the old building between Brantford and Ancasteron old hwy 52. Apparently they are gathering at noon on Saturday, Oct 6th. This is a perfect Kodak moment if you have an old skool rod or race car. Rumour has it that a wheel stander will show up as well. i can't make it since my daughter is having us up to Scarborough for turkey and ribs for Thanksgiving so someone better go and take lots of pictures and post them for us! Be there if you can!
Yep, that's a fact sorry for short notice. the old building is being demolished in the not too distant future. For anyone who ran east out of Brantford years ago, that old Club house was a landmark. All are welcome. Weather is supposed to clear up.
Hope to see any and all there!
Proud member, Piston Pushers.

Great photos once again by Darwin! You certainly did our club proud. Thanks.
The Club facade in Darwin's pics is actually 3/4 scale of the old clubhouse. It was a ton of work but we're real proud of the end result. The original building is falling down now and the current owners will be "helping" in the near future from what we hear.
To answer your question, Sasquach, I'd be lying if I said I knew for sure, but out of the current 135 members, my guess is about 7 of the ORIGINAL 14 members are still in the club today.
Established in 1954, we are considered the oldest and largest continuous car club in Ontario. There were clubs that started earlier but ceased to exist. The Piston Pushers did dwindle but never fizzled out.
Check out our website www.pistonpushers.ca for some great reading and an excellent history lesson of early hot rodding...Canadian style. Lots of great photos too.
