I chopped the roof on this truck last year and now as winter sets in it's time to get working again so I dragged the frame up and upon closer inspection I discovered the frame is just too much work to repair so I cut it up and it goes to scrap...that alone should recover the cost of the truck..now I will maybe work on chopping the doors or banging out the fenders while I search for a usable frame...those old nissan truck frames look real interesting or build a frame which sounds like the start of everything that can go wrong..

unbelievable how strong a tree branch can be. As a kid I went to help a friend pull a motor out of his car and he was using a tree I thought he was nuts. We lifted the whole front end of the 76 New Yorker off the ground 3 feet to un bolt the motor mounts transmission and everything else under the car. Than lowered the car and pulled the motor. Have used tree branches since then. True shade tree mechanics.

went to pull a 283 and farmer 4 speed out of a 64 gmc 2 ton up at the farm. had no lift so i used an old maple with a block and tackle, wasn't till the front wheels were off the ground before we found out we hadn't unbolted everything

On closer inspection of the frame,,it's junk,,too much work to fix, sections of rot from front cab mounts to rear wheel arches..got the truck for a song so surprise. I was also going to have to shorten frame. I did chop off the serial # on frame for future reference. Now I have to find a suitable frame or find some steel and build one...

Swapping the numbers from one frame to another isn't exactly legal ... not saying don't do it ... am saying don't post it for the world to see.

The serial # on frame does not match cab serial #,,does not work that way on these trucks which is confusing for people trying to determine the year of their truck if vin tag is missing.

I wouldn't worry about the frame numbers - If you were custom building a frame for it, you would be throwing the original frame away anyway.

I have a good International chassis you can have if you want to come down to the Ottawa area to pick it up.
