Hey guys ... I'm looking for a Rat Rod truck either completed and ready for the road or with minor finishing work. I'm from Sudbury but willing to travel across the country for the right rat rod. I was going to import one from the USA but it's way too much legal paperwork than I care for. Please let me know what you may have or know of.

Yep, a really good friend of mine..and he sells EVERYTHING the truck is in boxes and needs to be assembled. One of the guys who works for him has a '46 GMC flat bed original truck..lots of "patina". Another guy I know has a '46 GMC wich is sitting on a 1 ton chassis, He may sell. My father in-law has a '41-46 GMC out in the bush. probably not what your looking for though..

Junior's Tire (705) 476-9183 ask for Paul Bogensburger (Bogie) North Bay, On.

Greg: I got my 51 chev from South Carolina. I bought the car and had the ownership changed to me down there so that when I got to the border it took a total of 45 minutes. To get it into Canada the border people filled out some paperwork and all I paid was the gst on the purchase price. I would not hesitate to do it again, and it beats fixing a lot of rusty steel!

Thanks for all the tips. I spoke to someone who bought a rat truck from the same guy I was looking to buy one from and the Customs guy gave him a real hard time. They were ready to seize the truck but the border officer said it was too much paperwork than what he wanted to do. I'm still searching and would love to get the truck but would hate to drop $15 000 only to have them say I can't bring it across. ( I should just nut up and quit worrying haha).

Modfather, great looking truck, but not quite what I'm looking for. I'm looking for a mid 30's to mid 40s p/u.

Do you guys know if there are any Rat Rod clubs or forums here in Ontario?

Theyre cop school drop outs just tryin to squeeze more sales tax dollars outta you . Stand your ground , have receipts an phone numbers an address for the guy you bought the vehicle from . They work in pairs an what they try to do is good cop bad cop loser routines . and try to get you to cross your self / story up an try to say you are lying , then get more tax dollars outta you .
You shoulda seen the fat phuc,s look when I kept slipping , " I paid x amounta dollars for this shell , I have a legal ownership an receipt , can I go home now " ( while holding my paper work up so he could see it ) into every 3 rd or 4 th sentence of our conversation ha ha ..77.

Do any of you guys from North Bay know if the truck that's parked in "The Steering Wheel" speed shop is for sale?

I know you said truck, but you really should look at Chris Deklav's Model A sedan, bitchin car, well built and had a bunch of
miles put on it to prove it's salt..Chris is a hell of a nice guy, a member of our site here too. Here's a link on this site to his car.
