Wanted Y Block Valve Covers Fancy or plain...

I have a little art project that I'm doing in my shop. I had been given a tri-power edelbrock intake, carbs abd linkage for a Y block Ford to display for a while in my place

so I've decided that it would look way cooler if it were propped up with a makeshift display stand to represent part of the top of the engine. It would look awesome with a set of

chrome or aluminum covers but a nicely painted and pinstriped set will also do the job. I can handle the striping and paint part, does anyone have anything out there cluttering

the bottom shelf of the workbench?

Thanks,Chris.

Chris,

I may have a rough old chrome pair....will have to double check.

I'm sure they are not pretty though.

Hey Chris do they have to be for a Yblock ,if you are just doing a mockup, because if not I do have some extra SBC bits that might be of some use to you. Ed

Chris,

Found them....not quite as bad as I thought, although...certainly not show quality...lol

Lemme know what they are worth to ya...I'm not lookin' to get rich and I know they arent worth a whole lot....

Trade for any crazy old motorcycle stuff, memorabilia, M/C related patches or $ works too...

I'll have to get a price on shipping unless you have someone in/near Ottawa that could pick them up..

Give it some thought...let me know.

Cheers,

Ash....

Don't want to insult but to me they're still just a painted cover and worth $25 to me Ash, you may like them more than that and I ''fully understand".
Going to be display only so let me know what you think, they'll do the job.Pretty sure we can figure out how to get them after the fact. The only bike stuff I have is my original 1953 Matchless 500 single and it's probably never going anywhere, including under my ass down the street...Inherited it after it went in to my grandparents basement in 1958 when my dad's youngers brother had been killed in an airplane accident, this had been his mode of transport till that point.

Chris.

Gotta come on here one more time and tell the rest of the guys on this forum what a great guy to deal with you've been GearHeadDiver.
You have gone above and beyond in arranging to get these covers to me , great to know that there are still decent people out there and not
only the flea markets are the safe way to buy my goodies. Can't wait to get this little project completed, look for it on the art page, when I have
it done I'll post a few pictures just to show everyone how wacky I am and really how stupidly I spend my garage time, hence the reason I
don't seem to ever finish any car projects anymore....
Chris.

Chris,

Thanks for the kind words....I think the majority of us "hard core rodders" and Gearheads are great to deal with..."do unto others..." and "what goes around...comes around" are two things I live by....

I have yet to be done wrong by any "serious" gearhead or hotrodder...

Glad to help you out....afterall, thats what our hobby is all about  ;)

Ash....
