I for 1 will be at ancaster , rain or shine,,,should be a big meet , whos goin ,,any 1 vending so can stop by and say hi ..... are there any flyers to hand out to get the word out about our site ,,,just askin ... Kev
Holy crap that's a neat little program !! Thanks for the tip !! For a couple of years now, everytime I wanted to machine a logo on my CNC mill or cut out something on my plasma table, I had to trace each letter in my Cad program. Even after all that work, the results were mediocre. Sweet, I've got something to play with tonight.
If the weather's decnt, look for my 58. I'll be there regardless. Look for the Piston Pushers jacket. There will be lots of us around, my jacket will say CHRIS of course. Always a great, large, swap meet.

The only pics that could be taken would be of the vendors leaving...totally pissed off...5 hour drive,,,pull up, see there is quite a few vendors,,,Bonus! NOT...After we paid to get in , it starts raining...so we do the inside vendors ...same stuff,,,same vendors as usual...come out,,,theres maybe 3 vendors left ..and what little they had was covered up..Now...whoever is in charge of this swap meet, better get their $%^T together,,,your advertisment says rain or shine...am i pissed...hell yea....And to boot, as we are leaving,,,there are still people coming in and paying!...Sort of a Haney trick isn't it;;;got your money but hate to tell yea,,,theres no vendors or parts,,,sucka!!!!
I also heard from a good buddy that he wasted couple hours driving there and back. Too bad that most of the swap meets seems to be having a constant theme of let down. Im impressed with the Lambeth meet spring and fall. The last couple years have been decent. Is it the lack of intrest or the state of the hobby?.

Ya we had the same problem.Fatstax had to go to meet sombody there and T.J. and I had already comitted to going,so despite the rain we went.We did see that the lot was empty, as I expected,( but oddly enough Fatstax was surprized ), but since we drove two hours we went in anyway.I was surprised they charged us $6 to get in but again we were there so we paid saw all the bling venders inside, but nothing that I needed.I understand the venders going home because of the rain, but I don't understand them charging admission when the event was basicly over.Another question I wondered about, the parking fields were getting very muddy by the time we were leaving and they were still alowing parking there ,I wonder who would be responcible if people got stuck after being directed there. To add insult to a dissapointing day we stopped at a Whimpies for a late lunch and since I had never been to a Whimpies before and foolishley didn't read the menue thourghly enough I ordered an $8 burger with bacon and cheese, tomato, mushrooms and lettice Some fries and a coffee.By the time I got to the cash my $8 burger had blossomed into a $17 feast.I had no idea that they charged over a dollar for each topping on your burger. So Today I learned don't drive 2hrs in the rain to attend an empty field and then be stupid enough to pay admission to it and above all read the menue at an unfamilliar restaurant.I also learned Grumpy and The Boy are the smart ones in our club for not making the trip.I didn't see Steve so I don't know if he went or not . Having said all that it was still a fun day with friends and another story to tell . Ed

Well Eddy At Lest You Had Lots Of Leg Room EH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I found a few parts that I was looking for. There were vendors out and about early in the morning, then the rain came and they all must have melted or something... still quite a few cars showed up regardless of the rain.
I got there early enough to run through the outside vendors before the rains came. Went through the indoor spots. Ya, usual stuff but a good day yappin with some car buds. Saw Steve for a second or two (sorry dude...I owe ya lunch). Living close helps ease the pain of a rained-out event. Don't blame the organisers for the weather, although they shouldn't have nicked folks the entry fee once they saw it was washed-out. I suppose they got bills to pay too, rain or shine. My 2 cents.

It was too wet for me, so I went to the range instead and did 5 sets of trap...lol.
I am going to go out on a limb and assume the "range" and "5 set of trap" means trap shooting.
I have a funny (pathetic more like) story about trap shooting ... friend calls me up and invites me to do some trap shooting at his farm several years ago. I hit once out of approx 30 shots (although I did discover that they are a LOT easier to hit if you simply wait for them to land before shooting).
Several years later my friend calls and asks if I want to bring my nephew up (nephew was around 15 years old at the time). I get the go ahead from my sister to take my nephew and off we go. The farm is about 1 hour from me so I have plenty of time to chat on the trip up. I explain to my nephew that although this is going to be fun, it is a LOT harder than it looks so don't get discouraged. We arrive at the farm ... I (being the nice guy that I am) let my nephew shoot first ... he absolutely NAILS the first four shots (WTF?) ... I stopped counting after that. Now, I really don't mind letting kids win but that sure wasn't the case that day ...... Oh, how did I do that day? ... I gave up after missing about five shots ... figured I was just wasting ammunition.
I guess I should add, this was the first time my nephew had ever even shot a gun ...
