I don't currently belong to any clubs but thought I'd toss this out there. If any local - or not so local - clubs are having a run next summer and need a stop-over point we might be able help out. We're in Vineland right on Victoria ave ( Regional Rd. #24) which is the main drag between Lake Ontario and Lake Erie. We have room for a couple hundred cars, it's grass but I keep it short so long as it hasn't rained buckets prior to the date in mind it's solid. See the attached google map photo. Victoria ave is at the bottom of the photo, two driveways in off Victoria with parking between Victoria and the barn and also in the open area at the upper part of the photo. Contact me if interested.
Aside from that anyone out for a cruise is welcome any time.
I love how things get carried away.Buddy says he can put up a couple of guys if there passing thru ,all of a sudden it becomes a 200 car rod run with drag racing in the driveway and some good old fashion roundy round paint trading dirt tracking in the back yard. You godda love the internet. Ed
Well, Sue and I've been together for 30 years and she learned early on not to underestimate me, lol.
If you google my place and zoom in you might be able to pick out the left-overs from various burnouts on the asphalt.
Take another look at the picture and you'll notice the parallel driveways? They're joined behind the barn and nearer the street by more driveway - viola! - oval track. ( we have a go-kart but our boys have been known to "test" each other's driving skills in their vehicles. Really pissed off the neighbor once, something about a cloud of dust obscuring his entire house. Had the bylaw officer show up for that one. Told him to go back to that neighbor's place and calculate the total percentage of property covered by buildings. He's waaaay over.
As for the backyard. It's seen it's share of . Our daughter was the first, I had a 78 LeMans with no brakes. She was 6. Had to sit on a couple phone books with the seat all the way forward to see over the dash and reach the pedal. With me on the passenger side she started the car, put it in gear, looked at me with this funny little grin she has - and pinned it. The car went around 3 times before she let go of the wheel from laughing so hard then a couple more times before I could reach the ignition. She hauled herself up off the floor and said "can I do it again?", so off we went. Afterward Sue said " you took another one to the dark side", (like she should talk, you should see this lady drift)
The beer(water, pop) fridge can be as big as we need.
Seriously though, if a car club needs a location to park, check out each others rides and perhaps BBQ just let me know. The rest of you guys can drop in anytime, gotta go, the fridge calls........
Yup, pools open May to September. Clothing is NOT optional, don't want to scare the neighbor's kids, lol.
We're 3-1/2 hr's from the Fairgrounds - or - Oswego. Love the I.S.M.A. Super Modifieds, ever watched 'em?. Why, wanna make a run for the border?
And about Mewhinney Lane, my Dad worked for the local Municipality about 40 years as a Public Works Supervisor. That means they issued paycheques in his name that many years. Come time to put our name on the Town map do you think they could spell it right? Nope. We only have 1 "n". Typical.
