Before I order one of these for the 2010 Suburban, will this affect the MOE regulations?? Add says "legal in 49 States" I can't see why it would affect the Emm. as everything still works just gets more air flow, better torque, better milage, so they say. Thks. Pete

No idea on the emissions question but my father in-law has one on his '08 Corvette...it was dyno'd before and after installation and showed a marked improvement. I don't think he had to remove anything other than some minor trimming of some plastics under the hood so I can't see it being an issue.
and I realize I didn't answer your question LOL He lives in our area and has never had a problem with the MOE....been to many shows with the car too.
I had this K&N open filter on my 2000 F-150 for 8 years, and when sent for the e-tests, the results on that truck were always near 0 emissions, so as far as that goes it will pass no problem. For MOE stopping to poke around, its like the open air cleaner as opposed to a closed one on our older rides, they dont like it and may say its not allowed.
I have one on my 07 Sub and my 01 2500HD nice sound and defintely more power whoops I forgot no MOE here no E-test
" CAREFULL" there Carl, you don't know whats in the future!!!!! I've read up on these & the K&N one shows 12.6 HP increase + mileage increase to boot!!! Thought this might help in the "tow" dept. for gas Mi. but the burb does well now But any help would be good & MORE POWER OOH OOH !!! sounds good!!! Found a site www.canadapartsonline.com seems to have good prices & shipped to your door no brokerage fees

Technically, there is no such thing, as a closed air cleaner/filter. Air has to get in somewhere. Can't see any issues going on a 2010 vehicle, as the new kit, has all the same emission provisions as the OEM unit. Things might be different, as 30AV8 mentions, if you have one of the old style cleaners with pre heat tubes, dampers, etc., for carbureted applications.
Got my K&N system delivered, just after new Year. Installed it yesterday, took around 2 hrs. "outside' as garage is "occupied" Most of that time was the back & forth trips to the garage. haven't driven it yet but it "sounds different" when you give it a "SHOT"!!!
