One of the items i got for xmas was the "History of Canadian Tire" hardcover book put out by them to celebrate the 90th aniversary.

Lots of great old pics of the stores and shops/staff etc

Just wondered if anyone else has read this, looks like an interesting read?

I remember when China released their cheapest ever production car. Tata, it was about $2500 or something brand new.

Here's some of their crash testing..

Actually the Tata is made in India, and will be released here soon. I've seen one !! The car that China is trying to bring in is called the "Cherry", but they are having difficulty bringing them in because of safety issues, go figure !!

It's definitely not a funny song but rather very sad. Another thing that's very sad is the first thing that comes to someones mind is to blame the Unions !! confuseconfuseconfuseconfuse

the reason we are in China is the fact we cant afford stuff made in north America anymore. I have never worked in a union and union jobs pay out to much so its a never ending rise of prices. We cant afford what we make anymore corporations want record profits unions want there fair share. We have gone through the best years in profit making since WW II and we are used to the $$$ but its just not there any more. Some thing has got to give. P.S. back to the book thing is it a different book than the 75th anniversary book?
