Yes it's a well done car, so far, BUT by the time you finish it you'll have 22G's in it, & have a $16,500 car???? Paint & Interior + misc. will add up quick.

Why do you guys have to spend so much money on a car.Throw some floor mats and enjoy it .Never could understand spending that much money.I go to the same events and enjoy myself same as the high dollar guys.Don' have much into the delivery and some say it looks like it, but just ask me if I give a rats ass what people think .Can't see any way that car would cost any ware near that much to get on the road .Now if you are talking about some kind of show car or some one with deep pockets who just has to have the best or newest fad and billit stuff ok,but a normal hobbiest could get it on the road with some wrecking yard parts,some trading and work for 2or3 grand tops.It has brakes,an engine,headers,looks like the exhaust is there,floor is done,I see a shifter bolted in and the add says new clutch linkages.There is a nice set of wheels already on it so what is the big expence. the interior can be done over time and the paint would be your choice body shop or rattle can.I agree the price is high for what the car is,not yet a real popular year or style choice, but all the hard stuff is done.Dicker the price down take the savings and buy a couple of blankets,some floor mats and a case of rattle can black from the nearest Canadian Tire and you can park next to me at the next run. Ed

My self I prefer a "decent" interior, that I'm 'proud" to park my A$$ on, not an old blanket, but if that works for you well OK. As for paint, even my "Hot Rod" black paint job, doing most of it my self still cost me close to 2G's in material & rental of Booth to shoot it. It's amazing how it adds up, high build primer, umpteen diff grades of sand paper,Tape, masking paper, paint & all the additives that go with it, not including the body filler,& related $hit that goes with that part of the job.A paint job now days "Ain't Cheap" even if it isn't "RE-SALE RED"

Ya the blanket is decent enough for me . The point is it doesn't have to cost a mint to get a fun driver on the road.WE both have flatblack cars you show that it cost 2gs for your paint and I have maybe $200 into mine,(bondo and rattle can black is not very expensive)neither one right or wrong just different .My son,who was watching me try to respond to your post ,Pete, says it really doesn't matter because neither of us can pick up chicks with these cars anymore, so whats the difference.He is right,in a strange way, the cars end up at the same places and everyone has fun so that is the real bottom line. Give that car to 10 different people and you would end up with 10 different finished products. It's all about what the individual wants in a car, and that's ok by me.

One of the things that I, personally, would change on that car would be considered by some to be the nicest thing currently in it. But I know what I like.

Spend a little or spend alot to get what you want/like, but at his asking price it's not even a consideration.

Ed, the kid will learn that the big back seat will only cost him more in the long run.

This car is a real solid project that should be easy to finish. I agree with others that it isn't worth the asking price (almost double what its really worth). I find that a lot of classic cars listed on kijiji are very overpriced either by people trying to make a fast buck, cover their total investment costs or by ignorance (the type that figures all classic vehicles are gold)

As for finishing this one, the prospective buyer could go either route. Personally, I think that it would be loads of fun shooting it in black epoxy primer and drive it as is until I could come across some good interior pieces. I wouldn't put a truckload of cash into anything unless it was a highly optioned, sought after car which this one isn't.
