I have that same one. Pretty basic, and straight forward.

I have the same one, I've only tried it two or three times, my model is two years old. It works great, saves you the $50.-$60. diagnostic charge. The only "drawback" is you have to look up the codes on the internet, to get more in depth info.
I'm not sure if that unit can clear the codes, once they've been repaired.

Yes, it will erase the stored codes, and it will give you freeze frame data when the fault occured, but no live data.

Take it back and I'll sell you mine.

It's a Codetech by Launch:

•Read Trouble Codes and Their Definitions
•Erase Trouble Codes
•Freeze Frame Data
•Live Data Stream in Digital or Graph
•I/M Readiness
•MIL Status
•O2 Sensor Test
•EVAP System Test
•Read VIN
•On-line Software Updates at http://www.crecorder.com/
•Multi-language (English, French, Spanish)

I want a VAG-COM for my wifes VW!

Went to buy one in Sarnia the other day but they were sold out, got a rain check for it. I'm interested to hear how you make out with it.

I scanned my work van today (2006 Ford), engine light is on.....You register at their website and it transfers the info to their site and it gives you the fix...It says my PCM needs work, recalibrated or something.....I didnt reset the codes as the mechanic we use is still working on this. I did have the option though

Registering on their site gives you a basic membership...An offer popped up for a free month of the "deluxe" membership.......I want to learn more about this before I try that....might find an OBD2 forum and join, as I am pretty clueless at this.

Whether its worth the money or not, time will tell....glad I got it for 1/2 price...lol
