12 bolt A body axle wanted

I am looking for a dirt cheap 12 bolt rear axle for my chevelle.

Dont care what it comes out of in the A body lineup ie Olds Builk Pontiac Chevelle etc

preference would be for a 3.73 or 4.11 gearset but will look at any and all

doesnt need to be a posi.

trade would be even better - I got tons of stuff, gauges, holley carbs, pumps, early 80s F-series body parts, etc smile

I don't think there is such a thing as a dirt cheap A-body 12 bolt. The last one I sold with a 3.08 posi that was worn out, went for $800.

You might get lucky with a 71' 8.5" 10 bolt. They are pretty much as strong as a 12 bolt.

I got an 8.2 10 bolt dirt cheap. Doubt its a good alternative though but thought I'd put it out there.

i have one. had a hoped up 454 in front of it. posi, 3.55? and worked good. reason is i put a 9" moser ford in for the 572 build. from a 70 chevelle.
just putting it out there for you. it won't be "dirt cheap" but reasonable for what it is. and if you have something that i just couldn't live without, lets talk. rick
