Anyone going? this is the 50th anniversary apparrently - and a ton of old winners and runner ups for the Riddler are to be there - I went two years ago and it was an amazing show. Especially the rats n gasser show downstairs.
I am considering the bus tour again for $85 - coach to and from, light lunch, etc

I will be there with the "T-Bird Deuce" sharing a booth with good friend Mike Lowden (Ragtop) and his El Camino. This show is always great, but this year will be even better because of the 50th year for the Riddler Awards. I believe there is a pick up truck from Boot Hill Restorations in Erin Ontario that will be competing for this years Riddler.
There is a bus trip running out of Listowel, Drayton and Kitchener / Waterloo on Saturday March 9th - $65. + HST. Let me know if anyone is interested.

Where does the bus leave from? I assume it's not overnight, which would make for a long day.
I'm leaving 6am Friday with a couple of buds to be there at noon. Friday is the best day in my opinion: smaller crowds, vendors still have good stuff especially at the the collectibles area. You can see more on friday before 6 pm than you can doing the whole day Saturday. Check out my buddy Woodys 61 Ford Unibody pickup in the basement!
Head north towards Flint stopping at Harbor freight, Friday nite at the redneck bar up in Flint at my buddy Rick's and overniter in Owosso. Couple more stops on the way home Saturday.
Good times all round!
If anyone wants a great place to eat check out the Tunnel restaurant in Windsor.

I have been going pretty steady for 25+yrs and its always a good day, long but worth it. the Riddler contenders are always a sight and the skill level is the best. Hope to go Friday.

Disciples of Speed will have a display in the Autorama Extreme part of the show in the basement.......come by for an amber refreshment.....lol....or a comfey chair and share some stories...lol.
We will look you up for sure. The basement show is alway a great time. I am sure you guys will be walking the upstairs show and we will have a spot to take the load off as well. Safe drive to Detroit.

Good to hear John....but I'm quite sure if we hang out at your car up stairs on the main floor, we'll be doing crowd control......lol......I just know your hot rod is going to be a big hit brother.
Ya, we always take a car load or 2, and as already been said, friday is the day to go. We're there by noon, and drag our asses outa there about 8 - 9pm, and go for a good meal.

We leave Wednesday morning Wayne. Our unload time is 1.00 PM. That is 47 hours before the show opens.
Should have lots of time to get up close and personal with other car owners On Wednesday and Thursday.
There will be a truck from Boot Hill Restorations in Erin Ontario competing for the Ridler. Money was NO problem with this build. Be sure to check it out.
For those members coming to the show, please introduce your self to me at the T-Bird display display on the main floor. Like to meet as many members as possible.
Be carful with the "Amber gold" stuff boys... I've heard it from a well placed person that they have spies watching.. I'm certainly NOT saying DON'T...Just be carefull .... Hate to see anybody lose their stash
