Wow I saw a truck like that today on Horseshoe Vally road. I'm not saying it was the stolen truck. I just remember thinking that it was an awesome looking truck and you don't see that much in the winter with those nice wheels on. Looked like about a 9" lift with lots of daylight through the wheel wells.

It seems fair to me that when they catch this guy , the victim should be able to remove his nuts to hang from the trailer hitch instead of those fake bulls nuts ..it would be appropriate..and fitting ..with a picutre of the expression on his face while they were being removed with a old piston ring..but they never catch these dirt-bags and when they do it's a week-end of community service home putting the garbage can out....maybe..dirtbags have no respect for others stuff..
Darwin just e mailed me.He sent the link to his buddy who owns the truck, and has called the Police. They are on their way to investigate. Thanks everyone ! John

Hey John. It was about 9:00 am yesterday morning on horeshoe valley road about a kilometer west of simcoe county road 27. It was travelling eastbound..I would have to be hipnotized to tell you any other details lol. The only thing I know is when I saw the pictures of your truck, it immediately brought me back to that vision I saw that morning of a black truck. Even the writing on the door seems to ring a bell. Not the actual wording but some lettering in the same area. If it wasn't such a great looking truck, I wouldn't have even noticed.
My cell phone isn't glued to me like some but I always leave it in the car for that reason. I also set the home address in the Garman unit to the OPP station down the road.

I live in the Midland area I will keep a look out over this way as well. I dont think it is fair to blame it on a native though, perhaps a redneck though ..lol

I've always been one to stick up for the underdog or speak out against those who are harsh on visible minorities without just cause - however, there does seem to be a common link (in this particular area) where many stolen vehicles turn up on the reserve. I worked with a guy who had his truck stolen from the employee parking lot - the cops found it abandoned just outside the reserve, out of fuel - the only reason he got it back

Wouldn't you just love if someone stole your vehicle, and your cell phone was in it !!! With my phone, I can go on the computer, and through GPS I can find out within a few feet where it is !! What satifaction it would be to catch these slimeballs !!
Yup, but you have to subscribe to it. Most people will just keep it for the first 6 months because it's free, but I think law enforcement have access to it for the life of the vehicle. Big brother will always know where you've been !!
quote buy burlinton cops (if it has onstar dont even tell me about it because we wont call) this was in 2005 unless for some reason they found ther give a .... dont waste your money as hemi43 said a cell with a gps hidden in the car is the way to go but be prepaired to go get it back yourself. At least in this area by the time the cops botherd to look you wont want it back. the chev truck thats missin is an easy target . a cordless drill and 10 seconds is all you need to have it running take a nother 5 seconds and punch out the door lock and the alarm wont go off. In the end my security system is a stomp starter and 3 on the tree if its a real bad neighbourhood ill jam the gears in reverse . limit the number that are able to drive it and you limit the number that are able to steal it.
I've heard of people buying a dedicated cell phone which hard wired to the vehicle so there's no worry about the battery dying. I had never really given it much thought, but it's a brilliant idea, and a fairly inexpensive method of finding your vehicle. I agree it has no theft deterent value like a car alarm, but most of those are ignored anyway because we've all become used to hearing those things go off that we don't give it a second look.
I recall a few months back, an airport employee in the US somewhere stole a traveler's I-pad which can also be traced by GPS. A few days later, a news crew as well as the police went to the location where the I-pad was and knocked on the front door of the house. When the guy answered, they asked about the stolen I-pad and he denied knowing anything about it. The police activated an alarm by remote to the I-pad(which my cell phone will also do), and the guys wife came to the door with the I-pad in her hand saying"Is this what you're looking for?". The guy was busted !! Oh, the satifaction of doing that!!
