Pulled it out of a field that it sat in since 1974. Used a s-10 frame with 350/350. Started in the fall and hope to be daily driver sometime this summer

Man, you must work awfully fast to have it on the road in that short of time!! Great progress so far!

That was a rough cab to start with but you have done well.,,and the hood ornament is intact. Fortunately there are repop fenders/tailgates and just about anything else for that model. Looks good!

Thanks, everyone thought I was crazy to drag it out of the field and try to bring it back to life. I spend my Saturdays out in the garage with my father who keeps me company.

With others walking away from that Ford ... it was meant to be yours. Great job! Looking forward to seeing it done.

my original cab i was going to use started like that, once i found the arizona cab i would never waste time again doing the major surgery required to save a truck like that.  did turn out good though given what you had to work with

Close to finally resurrecting the old truck. Painted it with Summit satin hot rod black and put on the baby moons. Just have some wiring gremlins to fix. I think it turned out pretty decent for a daily driver.

You may want to consider changing the flat peep mirror to a convex type if you dont want to be hanging your head out the window. That thing leaves a nasty blind spot, The truck looks good. Are those custom offset rims? The s10 has a rather narrow wheel base.

The rear utilizes spacers with a 3" offset, the front needed to be brought tight so I could get some turning radius with out rubbing the fenders. They are a 4.25" offset. It still fills up the fender not too bad.

you hit that on the head stax. when i got back into playing with cars about 10 yrs ago i bought a couple of ontario cars and learned real quick how to do a 20,000.00 resto. budget for 10,000.00. close to 12-13 since then all out the south, south/west and when you see them on the hoist it makes the drive well worth it.
