As I'm reading your post, I'm thinking "Awww crap, someone else got busted with their old car" !! Glad to hear there's still a few good Cops left. Hopefully rookie Cops like the one that nailed Redneck are few and far between.

Well,I am not sure if you were serious or not but remember there are lots of different jobs and people represented here .There are GM workers, lawyers, women, appliance guys, engineers, mecanics and other government workers all who have taken lots of barbs and flack. If someone is that sensitive might be time to step up or maybe this isn't the place for them, after all there is still free speech and I am shure he has heard way worse on the job,so I would have to think he would have to have avery good sense of humour. Nice to hear this  ....instead of the other.

I've been pulled over a few times because a cool cop just wanted a better look at the car and one other time on my motorcycle in '88 when it was brand new. As he was gawking while doing two complete laps around it, I was thinking to myself "Hey Bud, they've got one just like it in the showroom at the dealer down the street and you can stare at that one all day!". It is nice when they take an interest, I just wish they could understand that we might have somewhere we need to be - one time I was on my way to work when I got bombarded with questions about my '64 Galaxie. At the time I was relieved that I wasn't getting a ticket, but later I thought about how inconsiderate it was. Oh well, water under the bridge I suppose- I haven't had it happen for years  now.

Well I do know of a few cops that have high performance toys and I would guess they would be here for the same reasons I am.Answers to hot rod questions and an interest in things fast and loud and maybe an understanding that hot rodders aren't bad people, just very different than most people. Ed

I agree !! I have a few friends that are Cops and they are no different than anyone else. It's just the 5% that give them all a bad name. No different than the MOE guys !! The two I met seemed like OK guys. I guess that 5% rule can apply to everyone, because most people are pretty decent except the few rotten apples that ruin it for everyone. IMO !!smile

5 % is a really huge  number considering  all the cops in Ontario. Lets face the facts if they quit protecting the so called 5% and got rid of them people would think a hole lot more of them. I was brought up to believe respect is earned not given if you want to be perceived as a profesional then act like one or get out. No one is perfect and are bound to make mistakes . you own up to it and move on trying to hide the facts just makes you look like a child.
