show was ok , alot of diecast , plastic , some current street cars and a few drag cars from yeasteryear , not much to do with drag racing memories , but i did not see any socks or sunglasses for sale .. not far off im sure ...
I did how ever meet the guy whos restoring John petries supercar clinic 70 hemi challenger , interesting guy with a great car ...I did run into a guy who has owed hemi cars since the 70s and knows alot the local hemi car history in this part of ontario ,
Over all , those that didnt get to the show didnt miss alot ....
I thought seeing the Scott Wilson 'Time Machine' top fuel dragster was worth the price of admission by itself. Great Canadian racecar ,and the first dragster to run 235 m.p.h.It's in a private collection so chances to see it are limited. The'Kenny Ach' fueler does't have the history of the Wilson car but sure is a beautiful example of a front engine Top Fuel car.
I'm with Bob....to see the Time Machine out in the light of day from it's long slumber away from the public eye was great....it was well worth the money to see such greats of Canadian Drag racing history as Fred Smith (NHRA Hall of Famer), Don Douglas (Canada's first open Gas Champ from the mid 1950's to the early 60's), John MacDougal (little Blue Wagon and the Overland Express gasser fame) plus many more......also great to see the history of the Dunville Slow Pokes one of the orginal O.T.A. member clubs that helped to start Ontario Drag racing in Ontaio.
The only thing I didn't like was.....the day went by way too fast....lol.......plus I missed some of the guys like Bob "the Shoe" Tindale one of the orginal Satin Shifters from Chatham.......oh well there's always next year.

the Time Machine now belongs to my good Friend Doug Cadman , He has a really cool collection going on , He also has the Noxell top Fuel Dragster ,Lots of Canadian History in that car also . 2 Chi -Town Hustler Funny Cars The 74' Charger and the Mustang 2 , Also the Bad to the Bone Fiat of Canadian Nitro Funnycar Pilot Jeff Arend ,That he is restoring Back to how Jeff had it He Bought Johnny Rocca's 33 Willy's Tin Indian Promod from me a few years back That I had restored to when the car raced in Australia also (i THINK THAT'S THE COOLEST CAR HE OWNS LOL) Doug made a clone of the Chi Town Charger Nitro Funnycar that we started to race last Season , We are busy getting it ready to race it soon this season ,can't wait :)
He has a dozen or so more cool cars In his stable .Rob Potter should move the Show to Dougs next year ,that would be cool !!!!
Ps Doug is looking for a ford sohc motor for the Time Machine . If anyone comes across a lead for one . A bit of history on that car , It was the first Canadian Top Fuel car to go 200 mph
