My son was interested in one of the 65 ford 4 door cars for parts but was told they wanted $1500.00 each. This is why kids are not in the old car hobby. He was thinking $500.00. Am I a low baller or should he just give up on fixing his car and sell it ? Im almost done with the pricing of the car hobby.cry  http://ottawa.kijiji.ca/c-cars-vehicles-classic-cars-Perfect-Hobby-Rebuilds-W0QQAdIdZ477874998

lol!! Think you should add a couple more words there..... something like super duper extremely rare! 1 of a kind, never seen before!!! 1 of none!!!..... considering that the Cougar was never released until 2 years later. The pic of that Cougar shows that it has side marker lights. That makes it's a '68 or '69. Makes you wonder if they even have the ownerships to go with them.

Thing is, we just scrapped one of our Astrovans at work (Small van).....The wrecker gave us $400 for it....If a guy can get $400 for scrap, parts cars will go for more.....Not saying $1500 for that 65 was fair, but you arent finding $50 parts cars anymore

I agree with you there poncho. The days off $50 parts cars are long gone. What I'm getting from workingclass is about scrap value. (half of the body is missing and so is the front axle) but there is some parts there that will aid me in rebuilding mine. Now as for asking $1500 for the '65 more door. That guy is asking way to much. $1500 for both and 1 of them better be a driver would be more reasonable. From the pics shown, I can imagine that these have sat outdoors for awhile and the interiors are probably sun baked/trashed. As for the Astro van, there is about $100 worth just for the rad, the cat and the tires.
