Today we have lost another icon, Dean Jeffries has gone to join the ranks of Von Dutch, Ed Roth and Larry WatsoN in his 80th year. I will miss this man, he was yet another of my inspirations ,first as an accomplished pinstriper when he was young and again when he opened his shop in Hollywood right till the end as a very talented custom car builder. Many of my early custom car builds were inspired heavily by this man, thank you for the great memories Jeff..

Always enjoyed seeing what he could and did do. That man is in the same class as Barris, Hines, Starbird, Winfield, Watson. Roth and a few others. He did a lot for the movie industry and for some pretty well known racers and engineers. To say that he was a talented person would be an understatement!

The MantaRay seems to be his most famous car,but from what I have seen he had a hand in a lot of famous builds for other top names that he didn't get credit for.Too bad he had tallent and imagination. Ed
