I am curious aboiut this Mad Frog 27T that keeps comming up on Kijiji.I have noticed the car on and off for a couple of years.It looks like a decent car and can't figure out why it doesn't sell as the price seams reasonable.I remember a couple of years ago it was forsale and then there was an add saying that there was some kind of family squabble and the car couldn't be sold by the lister on Kijiji.Then the car was back for sale again over the years and is currently for sale again.So I guess since it is listed in the North Bay area do any of the northern Ontario guys or gals know the story on this car.I think i is cool and might be interested as it is now listed as cash or trade. I've seen it listed numerous times as well. Its not however in North Bay, but up by Espanola if memory serves!
Which always makes me wonder why they dont list it near home. Maybe everyone from that area knows something they are hoping we dont??? Just seems hokie when someone does that.
That is odd unless they figure there are more people in North Bay.How far from North Bay is Espanola would it be closer to Manitoba than to the GTA.I don't know the area at all but hope sometime to get up to that new drag strip. Ed
Its about just over 3hrs north of North Bay. Closest bigger "city" to its location is Sudbury which is about 2.5hrs north of North Bay. Its about a 3.5 hr drive south from North Bay to GTA. Hope they have snow plows for the drag strip as it was snowing pretty much all day here. At the rate were going.... were gonna need them. lol
Thats a long trip.Still for some reason I find that car interesting.They may have to put the ploughs on the haulers,and snows on the dragsters.Oh well every track has its quirks .Thanks for the info. Ed
It was listed on kijiji back on Dec 17th 2012 for $9,000 under Sudbury. Maybe they thought of listing it under a different place to expand the area. (??? some people think that if you list it under one city, that's as far as it goes. ???) You would think that if they wanted to get more people interested, they would get it out of the trailer, clean it up and provide better shots of it. Personaly, doesn't do anything for me. Has been stored for 3 years?? in a old camper trailer?? Has not ran in 3 years.?? ?engine seized? Tires could have flat spots?? Do not care for the colour or the turd stains. Interior looks unfinished and is it even close to being roadworthy?? In 1 of the pictures, you can see the tailstock. What are they thinking of for a firewall?? Now as for the MII front end, do you really think those 2 bolts holding the front bumber on are going to keep that frame from twisting??? Rad and rad shell is held in place by??? Nothing going back to the firewall to support it. I see a lot of red flags looking at this. Good luck getting half what they are asking. I know of better and safer rides for less that still fall into the same era and are atleast twice as nice.

Going back a few years the first time I seen it listed it was in the Hamilton area. Story was that son had inherited and knew nothing about cars and wanted to sell or trade. At that time they said it had been off the road for years or never on the road cant remember the exact spin. The green splatted with cow dung with the Spanish pervert paint job looks well done but I dont know any one that could live with it . And after spending a few years in a trailer that shag interior must just reek. I think they would of had better luck if they would of brushed it flat black and stopped dreaming.
