Here's a great article from the New Zealand registration process regarding steering columns.  This is a must read for everybody.

I read that article when it was first posted on here. The other day, my son was talking on the phone to my wife and I asked her to find out what make of steering column he put in his car. She then hollered out to me that he did it. I said Ididit and she then said no, he did it.

I also use OEM steering columns, they are either free or cheap, of course I don't go for all that chrome bling anyway.
