If you're going to spend that much on a new Chinese press, you might be better off getting an older used US made one. I see them at auctions all the time and they don't go for much higher.

Here's a site you guys may find interesting. Lots of used equipment, including presses. http://cowanmachinery.com/. I've also been watching these two auction sites for x police cars and they have used equipment quite often. They both have had presses at one time or another. http://www.mrjutzi.ca/default.aspx and https://northtorontoauction.com/.

Cowan has some nice stuff, but the problem with businesses like these is that they want so much money for their stuff, that it makes it too expensive for backyard guys. The best place to get anything industrial is at auctions. I usually go to 5-6 per year and get everything I need for pennies on the dollar.

Most presses are just a structure made of flat bar and channel, bolted together. You can't really go wrong with that kind of device unless you are up into the pnuematic assisted ones which are big bucks. The Chinese ones probably use Canadian steel lol.
