There's a guy advertising in Old Auto's parting out a Lincoln Mark IV.
It was still on the car, 50,000 miles, 9" posi with discs for $150 in Toronto.

If its from a lincoln from the 70's, and its not a versailles, it probably is not a 9", but a 9 3/8".

The housing is the same as a 9" but most everything else is different. The brakes are expensive and hard to get parts for, the centersection only has four available gear ratio's (two are very rare) and limited slips are extremely rare. The axles have a different bearing offset for the disk brakes than drum brake rears also.

Look at the center section and see if the ends of the top reinforcing rib bend down instead of going straight across. If it does, its the 9 3/8" rear.

Thanks for your input Rick, if you want to come and check it out please feel free, bring your cash.
It is from a Lincoln Versailles. I pulled it myself for a project, then it changed directions, as a lot do. Now it needs a new home.

If its a versailles rear end, that is a dirt cheap price. Someone snap it up!
