I just want to bump this notice up to the top to make sure everyone in the area is aware of this cruise afternoon with an added show for Stock Car racing.
This show will give you somewhere new to go for the day and you can see some of Ontario's fastest Stock Cars. The link above will give you a contact person if you need further information.
Entrance to the track is from the north gate by the green barn on HWY 28.

What a great day at the best hot rod bash East of the big smoke. It actually started at the Port Hope cruise night Saturday night.Really big turnout of cars and at one point there were 7from this site gathered together.Hemi,Atomspliter,LightspeedMike,Molton,SACOTU,Scruffie and me.Intreresting crew and interesting talk. The Kawartha Speedway show was truely a good one .It started with coffee at Timmies with Fatstax and The Boy.On to the Race track with new guy Mike and his really cool flatblack(cool colour if I do say so myself)rat rod open top highboy. When we got to the track we met up with the other Ratlers,Porkchop with his cop attracting Malibu,he chickened out on the thong thing, and Keith who actually found and wore his club shirt today. We also ran into Hemi,Molton and Lightspeed again.Excellent turnout car wise and the location of the show at a race track and beside a casino made for an interesting group of spectators.New guy Mike and his highboy (did I mention it was flat black)was chosen to to do a parade lap with 6 other cars which was cool.He said the track banking was way more than it looked from the stands. Fatstax and The Boy found a great deal on racing slicks from some racing supply company vending in the pits I think and when they came back to where we were parked they said the guy was going to bring them over. I should have known if Fatstax was involved it would be interesting,I am guessing the tires will probably burst into flames when you try mount them .Next thing I know this pickup stops and unloads 12 pair of racing slicks.I look at Fatstax, then at his Buick sedan, then my delivery and it hit me who was taking this load home.So we load both cars and I start to watch the races. Those OSCAARS are fast and the Brighton Speedway dirt cars put on a really cool show aswell. You remember the show is beside a casino right, so doesn't Fatstax come back with more slicks, seems he won on some slot machine and had to buy more tires. The delivery was so loaded down that I had to take my Ratlers club plate off of my bumper cause it was now draging on the ground full time insted of just on humps in the road.Crossed my fingers said goodby to everyone and set off.Passed one of the promoters on the way out and said we had a great time and he thanked us for coming. The trip home was basicly uneventful except for the draging exhaust on bumps and turns and the strange noises and wierd feelings you get when you drive a car overloaded with someonelses racing tires.Anyway I saw some cool cars, saw some good racing, had an interesting adventure and spent a really fun day with my son, club members and other fun people .A perfict day if you ask me. Good to hear you had a good time at Kawartha yesterday and it was good to meet you and Jim at the car show. Unfortunately I didn't know what the other Ontario Rodder members looked like so I wasn't able to meet them. I did see an old maroon Buick, a 55 Chev wagon, and a pickup truck (lightspeed?). I hope everyone enjoyed the car show and the racing.

Thanks for the information but what I needed was to be able to meet the people who own these cars. A few times I was near your car, there was no one around but maybe next time.

I've often thought we should have a thread or section here with pictures of the owners beside their rides......so you know who is who if you ever have the occasion to meet.
