Hey what are you guys using for wiper motors ?  Im working on 1948 chev pick up and was thinking of using a wiper motor from the rear window of a caravan  do you think it will work ?

I bought the one for my 39 off ebay, about 60 bucks comes with wiper and arm.  self parks and installs like the original.  don't know if it will work for your application

I used one from a VW bug in my 51 F1.....windshield is basically the same size and shape.....Just had to shorten the arm between the 2 pivots

I,m in the same boat with the 50 . I think its funny how vac wipers work , but need to go lektrik too. doesn't that Bill,s truck and Lmc have lektrik kits ..77.

Early 90s jimmy seem to be the most popular something with around 120 deg sweep. " goggle"  for how too or ebay already done

I used a John Deere wiper to replace the vacuum in my 57. I had to build the transmission from both sides to the motor and make a pivot arm for the wiper pivots. Self park, 2 speed. Works great!!

HEY thanks for all your suggestions I bought 2 wiper kits from summit I think they will work they come with motors blades & switches $31.00 ea I will let yous know how it turns out

Some are using the rear wiper motor from a Blazer.
I bought the Newport Engineering kit and it works great on my '48 Chevy 1/2ton.

i was lucky the 57 gmc electric wipers back fitted my 55 vacuum ones, even used my original wiper knob.

Installed the wiper motors from summit in to my 48 chev p/u today they work great easy to install and wire done in 2 hrs

48 what do you search under to find the kits . I tried a few things but only came up with some motors that look like to run a single wiper arm only ..77.

77 the kits I got are wiper motor kits I use 2 They come with motors wire; switches and wiper arms the part #cmx-1910102 I installed 2 kits they work good They are from summit hope this help
