would this car have come with a 9 inch rear?  its like a 78 ranchero with the 460.  i can get the rear diff for cheap. it looks like a 9 inch but its not easy to see it where its sitting.  rest of car/truck is junk

I like to get this dash option instead of the woodgrain finish ..........I remember seeing the chrome option in the Cougar of the same years but I think the Ranchero GT  had it

Definitely a nine inch in a later Ranchero, but more than likely a 400 Modified if it isn't a smallblock... The small block versions were actually 302's
I had one with 16,000 miles..

It will be a coil spring mounted 9 inch. I had a 73 I parted out and currently have a 79 to cut up.

Been a lot of years  but I believe you re correct with the Ranchero GT having this gauge panel,
Quizzing 57150 will get answers, almost thirty years later he has it in his possession.
Chris.

Yep, still have it.  Decided I better do something with it before it rusted away completely.

Unfortunately it wasn't taken care of after you sold it...lots of rust including the frame.

This is where I'm at now, frame rebuilt...

This is the donor for the drivetrain and front clip, frame is shot....

And yes, that dash is in the Ranchero GT too.
